The mission of Ruins & Remnants is simple: to help you visit historical sites around the world.
Ruins & Remnants is currently a one-man show run by me, Aaron – the founder, editor, and sole contributor behind the site.
I started this site to fill a gap in the travelling blogging space. Whenever I arrive at a new destination, my first thought is ‘where are the best historical sites?’. In search of an answer, I’d turn to the countless travel blogs online, where you can find one for any niche you can think of – luxury travel, solo travel, eco travel etc – but none for historical destinations.
So I decided to fill this niche myself, and started Ruins & Remnants.
I’ve travelled extensively in search of the world’s most compelling historical destinations – from the pyramids of Egypt, to the ancient cave temples of India, to the Khmer ruins of Southeast Asia. Through this site, I’m here to help you do the same.
Being Australian based, Asia is in my backyard, so much of my content is heavily focused in this region, but I’m regularly going on new trips and gradually expanding my content to new regions.
