Ramesseum

The Ramesseum is the mortuary temple of Ramesses II, built to celebrate his reign and divine status. Its best-known feature is the fallen, colossal granite statue of the pharaoh that once stood over 17 metres tall, believed to have inspired Shelley’s poem ‘Ozymandias.’
